Seattle Mariners: Crime Fighting Again in 2013

The Seattle Mariners come in a familiar position. They arenat hitting. Havenat we seen this movie before? As tweeted by Greg Johns of MLB.com: No unpleasant aid. Should we all utter a clear sigh? When would be the Mariners going to start hitting on an everyday basis? The team is rated 29th in the league with a.220 team average. Regrettably, this is a statistical situation. The Mariners have been here before. Michael Morse started out so hot. Therefore did Franklin Gutierrez. Morse has cooled down and is now reaching.230 for the summer season. Gutierrez is starting to have a problem with injuriesa'again. Clear sigh. There are also the players that are actually struggling: Brendan Ryan:.152 Dustin Ackley:.153 Justin Smoak:.200 Christ Montero:.217 The small key of players that was said to be the ongoing future of the Mariners isn't always coming together in 2013. Washington is 2nd in the league in a single category: strikeouts. Nearly what the supporters were hoping for in 2013. Two straight games with out a work. Just five works in five games. The Mariners have now scored the fewest runs in the American League West (58) and they're attached for the fewest in the American League with the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox. Only three teams in the National League has obtained fewer runs compared to Mariners. Bad. The year is still very small, and the Mariners have not fallen too far behind in the department. Nevertheless, this year might get away easily if the Mas cannot begin swinging the bats. As tweeted succinctly by Geoff Baker of The Dallas Times: Certainly. Time to start hitting. Follow @tpheifer
