Kevin Ware Injury: Changes on Louisville Guard's Knee

In just one of the more gruesome injuries you'll see on a court, Louisville guard Kevin Ware severely fractured his leg in Sunday's Elite Eight game against Duke. Activities stories that Ware could have surgery on the leg on Sunday night: ---End of update--- With just over six minutes remaining in the initial half, Ware attempted to defend a shot from Tyler Thornton. He landed awkwardly and his knee seemed to bend the wrong manner on the court. You will see a video of the harm here. (Warning: Please note that the picture is disturbing.) Based on Pete Thamel of Sports Illustrated, Ware has officially broken his leg and was taken fully to the hospital: What makes this a lot more sad could be the response from the teammates. After seeing the harm, the Louisville people struggled to keep their composure. Jim Forde of Yahoo! Ware only averaged 4.6 points per game this season, but he's a good contributor on both sides of the court and is just a gifted three-point shooter. He was also coming off his best sport of the year with 11 points in the gain against Oregon. Louisville can now look to move forward away from not merely the real loss of Ware but additionally the psychological cost that viewing the injury took on the players. Hopefully, the Cardinals could perform their utmost basketball to recognize their wounded teammate.
