WrestleMania 29 Results: Does Jack Swagger Have Any Distance Left?

At the WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view, Alberto Del Rio kept his World Heavyweight Champion against Jack Sway. The end came to exist after the champion closed in an impressive flying armbar on his enemy at the 10-minute mark for the submission success. The fit itself? Eh, it absolutely was wonderful. Not terrible, but not good either. These were not given a good period of time for the session. A world title match ought to be given at least a quarter-hour, especially at the biggest show of the entire year. To share with the truth, the hilariously shocked response of Zeb Colter in the aftermath of Swagger's loss was the highlight of the entire part. So what's Swagger's future given that he is didn't get gold in what was perhaps the biggest bout of his career? May he continue on in the main event scene or be demoted? Can it be time for him to ditch the xenophobic gimmick? A very important factor that didn't support his cause was the poor reaction of the crowd at Met Life Stadium for the duration of his match. Indeed, the folks in attendance sounded generally bored throughout the session, with a "We need Ryder" chant actually being seen for a brief period. Needless to say, not absolutely all with this is on Swagger. Del Rio isn't exactly a star over on the level of Steve Austin in 1998 possibly. WWE may possibly want Del Rio to be their next major Hispanic star, a manhunter Eddie Guerrero or Rey Mysterio, however it just does not appear to be occurring. Certainly, for probably the most part Swagger has been OK. His wrestling has been great, and he's done a good work of standing behind Colter all through ads and looking scary. It is not really fair to state he's failed. (Besides his uncomfortable charge in February, of course). He has not really succeeded in his role, but that is more as a result of character of the smoothness. Let's experience ita'even with the ultra-talented Coulter as an end, this direction is falling fast. Perhaps it is controversial and too political, but the plan just isn't recovering from such as a main event direction should. May Swagger go for the name again? Moreover, is anybody even that desperate to see Del Rio and Swagger face off again, specially with heel competitors like Dolph Ziggler and Mark Henry on the horizon? Frankly, I had rather see these two get yourself a title match than Swagger again. But all hope is not lost for the former amateur wrestler. His arrest aside, Swagger has shown lately that he could be useful to WWE. He's a decent wrestler with a strong physical presence and personality. Under the appropriate circumstances, he could get over huge. Nonetheless it may be time for the business to take into account a trick change for the star... ...Because his work with Colter has certainly go out of steam.
