STATE COLLEGE, Pennsylvania. (AP) a Jerry Sandusky says a key witness against him misunderstood him showering with a young child in the Penn State team bathrooms higher than a decade ago. Sandusky said in short excerpts broadcast Monday on NBC's "Today" show that he does not know the way Mike McQueary concluded "that intercourse was going on" when he observed Sandusky showering with a child in 2001. Documentary filmmaker John Ziegler says he conducted 3A hours of interviews with the former Penn State assistant basketball coach, now serving a decades-long sentence for son or daughter sexual abuse. His innocence is maintained by sandusky. Sandusky says he's unsure whether Joe Paterno might have let him keep coaching if he assumed Sandusky was a pedophile. A Paterno family attorney says Sandusky had the opportunity to testify at trial but "chose to not do so."
