Pepe Reina: Ill stay to be part of a great Liverpool future | The Sun ...

The keeper's Anfield future has been a source of constant speculation this season, especially as his form has dipped.

The Spaniard said: "My relationship with the manager is very good. We have got a lot in common — tactics and the way we see football is similar.

Reina, who has made nearly 400 appearances for the Reds since his £6million move from Villarreal six years ago, admits he has had to adapt his style since Rodgers arrived in June.

"It's a different style and philosophy. I am happy about it. Given time and as long as the players follow him it will be good.

Reina has missed the Reds' last two matches with a calf injury but hopes to return for the away clash with Aston Villa a week tomorrow.

There was more good news regarding striker Fabio Borini, 21, who last month had an operation on his dislocated shoulder.

Head of performance Glen Driscoll said: "It's looking pretty positive that he could maybe make the end of the season."
